T. Joseph McCarty, design and product development expert, brings nearly 20 years of experience in the intimate apparel, couture, ready to wear and accessories markets. His design experience includes women’s, men’s and children’s apparel product categories. His expertise includes design, trend forecasting, product and technical development and international sourcing.

Mr. McCarty has contributed to the success of several iconic companies with highlights being Victoria’s Secret, J.C. Penney, Vera Wang, Lane Bryant and Carole Hochman.

Mr. McCarty has managed the design and development of multiple lines simultaneously. His extensive trend research and international sourcing produced numerous designs resulting in unprecedented sales and increased profits. By discovering emerging global fashion trends he translated these findings into marketable designs to satisfy international needs. These designs repositioned the collections to more clearly delineate the brand images of numerous brands, ultimately leading to more defined branding messages across corporate product offerings.

He has directed the launch of the newest technology and designs ensuring improved fit, enhanced function and superior appearance. His implementation of revolutionary technological advancements in intimate apparel transformed the industry and the products in the market. This includes the largest launch of multiple private label intimate apparel lines in the history of J.C. Penney.

T. Joseph McCarty has served as a liaison across corporate divisions ensuring the cohesive message of merchandising, design, production planning, technical design and other aspects of the supply chain were maintained to fully execute the design concepts, delivery schedule, branding criteria and pricing standards.

His design expertise brought him to Columbus College of Art and Design where he taught the art and techniques of fashion illustration.

These successes led to Mr. McCarty receiving several accolades including the Lane Bryant Spark Award and induction into the President’s Club in 1995 and 1997.
